What is sqlmaint.exe?

Originally developed by Microsoft Crporation, sqlmaint.exe is a legitimate file process. This process is known as SQL Server Database Maintenance Plan Wizard Executor and it belongs to Microsoft SQL Server. It is located in C:\Program Files by default.

sqlmaint.exe virus is created when malware authors write virus files and name them after sqlmaint.exe with an aim to spread virus on the internet.
