msdtc.exe is a legitimate file and is also known as Microsoft distrubuted Transaction Controller. It belongs to Microsoft Corporation. This process is loaded into system by Microsoft Sql Server. It is generally located in c:\Program files. This service is used to manage data transactions across servers.
