mpcmdrun.exe is a legitimate file. This is a process that is associated with Windows defender  Anitspyware and it protects the system against Internet threats such as spyware, adware and torjans. It is commonly stored in C:\ProgramFiles\Windows Defender\MpCmdRun.exe. The malware programmers or cyber criminals write malicious programs giving it a fake name as mpcmdrun.exe to spread infections via internet.

 

 

When the system performance is very slow or if you are getting some annoying poups ads. The user must check the task manager by pressing the combination of keys ctrl+alt+del and go to the process tab to see the location of mpcmdrun.exe then right click on that open to see the location of the file, if the location is  C:\ProgramFiles\Windows Defender\MpCmdRun.exe, then the system is safe and secure, if it is located elsewhere then the system is affected by mpcmdrun.exe malware
