What is RTHDCPL.exe?

RTHDCPL.exe is a legitimate file whose process is known as Realtek HD Audio Control Panel, developed by Realtek HD Audio Sound Effect Manager. It is almost always located in c:\windows by default, unless manually saved at a different location by a user. Malware programmers create files with virus scripts and name them after RTHDCPL.exe with an intention to spread malware on the internet.
