How to Remove “Notepad.exe”

What is Notepad.exe?


Notepad.exe is a legitimate file. It is a small application of Microsoft OS and it belongs to Microsoft Corporation. It is commonly stored in C:\windows\System 32\notepad.exe. Notepad.exe is a very popular file name, so the malware programmers or cyber criminials write the malicious programs and name it as notepad.exe an spread infection via internet to damage the software and hardware.

How to find if the system is affected by Notepad.exe malware?

 
When the system performance is very low or if you are redirect to strange websites or if you are getting annoying popup ads or if your Internet connection fluctuation is high then the system might be affected by notepad.exe malware.  To confirm that go to the task manager by pressing the combination of keys  ctrl+alt+del and  go to the process tab and right click on the notepad.exe process and open the location see if the file is located in  C:\windows\System 32\notepad.exe, if so then the system is not affected by notepad.exe, if the file is located somewhere else then system is affected by notepad.exe malware.
 
 
How to remove the Notepad.exe file from system using Comodo Antivirus?
 
Step 1: Download Comodo's Free Internet Security.
 
Step 2: Installation configuration frames will be displayed. Select the configuration type you would like to apply.
 
Step 3: Select Customize Configuration option and arrange installers, configuration, and file location.
