Lockoutstatus.exe is a legitimate file from Microsoft Corporation. It is a combination command line and graphical tool that shows lockout information about particular user. It is typically located in c:\program files\windows resource kits\tools.

 

Malware authors code virus programs and replicate the file name to look like Lockoutstatus.exe to spread it on the internet.
